The FRP portal machining center is designed for conventional or high-speed machining of oversized and geometrically highly complex workpieces. It is based on a machine bed on which the table moves, and a fixed portal with an adjustable crossbeam. Customers can choose between linear and hydrostatic guideways.
The FRP machine also supports turning, enabled by an optional carousel table. Universal spindle heads are, of course, available and allow a wide range of machining operations. Customers choose it for machining aircraft engines, diesel locomotive engines, or steam turbine casings. Thanks to its high power and torque, the FRP can also perform roughing operations.
