The machine, presented at the EMO Milan trade fair, impressed visitors with both its modern design and dynamic rapid traverse speeds of up to 30 m/min. Customers choose the FUT machine for its high productivity, exceptional stability even when machining in limit positions, and achieved precision.
The FUT is designed for machining geometrically highly complex workpieces using both conventional technology and high-speed machining. The machine is based on separate longitudinal and cross beds arranged in a T-shape. The machine’s versatility, especially in terms of the possible choice of spindle heads, allows maximum adaptation to technological requirements. The optimum type of spindle head can be selected for each operation, making it possible to use maximum cutting conditions and the machine’s working area. High spindle power and torque in spindle heads with mechanical spindle drive are particularly effective in roughing operations. The axis configuration extends into the segment of horizontal boring machines, where it far surpasses the competition in terms of rigidity parameters and dynamics.
